The village of Gorki was a small peasant community, complementary to the huge estate that we still know today. The aim of this small museum is to reconstruct the life of these inhabitants when they were living with Lenin in 1920. There is therefore a dwelling, close to a hut, with its reconstructed farmhouse open to visitors. The destitution and peasant traditions told by the museum's guides strongly denote the sophistication and luxury in which the Soviet leader and intellectual lived.
