The city of Kolomna is also famous for its local confectionery, called Pastila. From a method of preserving apples produced in the region (which used to be a big producer), it has become a dessert on its own, produced locally and transported all over Russia. The Pastila Museum, within the walls of a former confectioner's workshop, recreates the entire production process and also allows you to take part in making your own dessert! Of course, tasting at the exit. Book for a guided tour (the guide's English is gradually improving).
