ST. NICHOLAS' MONASTERY OF ULEYMA

A monk guides the visitors, but does not speak any foreign language. If the gate of the monastery is closed - because of the horses - do not hesitate to honk the horn: the interior is worth a visit. The monks have set up a chapel to celebrate their services, as the churches, which were badly damaged during the 1930s, have not been completely restored due to lack of funds. Today, the pillars are being patched up and consolidated with the means at hand.
