The first square, the main one, has a Mediterranean feel to it, with its grid pattern on the ground and the arcaded houses that surround it. Notice the beautiful Renaissance facades. Each house has its own story. These alignments are dominated by the Jičin Castle. Right next to it stands the Jesuit church of St. James, whose Renaissance facade hides a Baroque interior. A little away from the square, after a few meters of walking along Chelčického Street, we reach another church: St. Ignatius, a vast Gothic building
