It is the epicenter of the old town and still today the main gathering place. At the time of its construction, it was one of the largest squares in Europe (139 m x 193 m). It is surrounded by Renaissance mansions with beautiful facades. On the square, at number 1, is the old town hall built by the Italian Giovanni de Statia in 1559. There is an exhibition on the evolution of the city over the centuries, including a beautiful model of Pilsen.
