The work of photographer Josef Seidel, who spent years crisscrossing the mountainous areas of the border, was largely confiscated during the Cold War. What has been preserved is an invaluable record of local traditions in the Šumava. Portraits, weddings, natural landscapes, scenes of everyday life... His house-studio has been completely renovated and the visit offers an interesting tour with many period pieces.
