Wallenstein Castle was built in the Renaissance style in the 16th century, on the remains of a Benedictine monastery. Baroque elements were added in the late 17th century. The result is an elegant, multi-windowed edifice. Today, it houses a regional museum. The history, folklore and geography of the Třebíč region are recounted through various documents. Old trades (pipe-making, wooden crib-making) feature prominently.
