The high school, a baroque building, is located to the northwest of the square. The building used to be a malthouse, but the Jesuits, who were present in Telč in the 17th and 18th centuries, transformed it into a high school. Church musicians were trained there. A mural painting attests to this function: a cleric teaching children. The two copper-plated bell towers of the Church of the Name of Jesus Christ have dominated the square since 1667 and compete with the tower of the Church of St. James.
