About 4,400 tombstones are spread over almost 20,000 m². Seat of the Jewish community of Moravia from the 15th century, Mikulov is the last resting place of several important figures: Mordechaj Benet, Šemuel Šmelka Horovith, Menachem Mendl Krochal, among others. A memorial for the deceased of the First and Second World Wars is also located here. A ceremony room designed by architect Max Fleischer in 1989 is located at the entrance.
