MASARYKOVO NÁMĚSTÍ
Masarykovo náměstí can be considered the center of the city. It is a large space that lacks the charm of other squares in the country, but is very lively. At the southeast corner stands the old town hall, the oldest building (16th) in this decidedly modern city. To the south of the square, you will also see the Puppet Theater. On the way to the river, it is impossible to avoid St. Wenceslas Church, a late Gothic building. To the northwest of the square is the recent (1890) and imposing neo-Renaissance church of the Divine Savior.
