DUOMO E MUSEO DEL TESORO
Cathedral of Vigevano preserving several interesting paintings.
The cathedral of Vigevano overlooking Piazza Ducale was commissioned by Duke Francesco Sforza in 1532. The interior, with its Latin cross plan, contains several interesting paintings. The impressive concave baroque façade is the later work of the architect and bishop of the city Juan Caramuel in 1608. The museum of the diocese preserves a collection of religious objects, most of which were donated by Francesco II Sforza. Among the most beautiful pieces are a silver reliquary engraved with gold and a gold vestment used in 1805 for the coronation of Bonaparte.
