University in the form of a brick building still largely visible in Pavia.

This glorious university was created in 1361, in the form still largely visible from a brick building. It was repeatedly rearranged. During Austrian domination, the institution was reformed and the building completely renovated in neoclassical style. From that time, the main façade was given according to the project of the architect Giuseppe Piermarini; Leopold Pollack, on the other hand, is awarded the south wing and different classrooms. Several major professors and scholars taught him, among them Alessandro Volta (1745-1827), the inventor of the electric battery. A small museum recounts the history of the building through an interesting collection of documents and archives.
