MUSEO DELLA STAMPA - CASA DEGLI STAMPATORI EBREI
Museum with some models of the first machines at the beginning of the introduction of printing.
In the former Jewish quarter of Soncino, this printing house, one of the first in Italy, was the original headquarters of the Jewish publishing house Nathan, founded in 1480 (remember that Gutenberg did not invent the printing press until 1453). A charming little museum houses some of the early machines used at the very beginning of the introduction of printing in Italy. The guided tour involves a hands-on demonstration of the operation of an early letterpress.
