DUOMO
Magnificent building started in Romanesque style and finished in Gothic style.
A magnificent building begun in Romanesque style and completed in Gothic style (1107-1332). It has a rich white marble facade with three orders of loggias, decorated with statues and a beautiful central rose window (13th century). The interior, impressive for its gigantic size, houses a beautiful cycle of frescoes above the pillars, by Romanino and Boccaccino (16th century), illustrating the life of the Virgin and Christ. On the reverse side of the façade, powerful representations of the Crucifixion (1521) and the Deposition (1522) by Pordenone.
