Brick tower of 111 m among the highest in Europe in Cremona.
This 111-metre-high brick tower is the symbol of the city and one of the tallest in Europe. It's the inspiration for the name of the local sweet speciality, torrone, which you'll find in every patisserie. A 16th-century astronomical clock adorns its summit, and you can discover the technical details of how it works by visiting the multimedia room specially dedicated to it. The view from the top (after 500 steps!) is superb.
