Situated where the town's port used to be, this little bistro has a rustic, welcoming atmosphere, with wooden tables and paper tablecloths, in its pretty arcaded room. It serves carefully prepared regional specialties. Typical dishes include pumpkin ravioli with melted butter and sage, fried frogs, polenta and horsemeat, and cooked snails. For dessert, sbrisolona shortbread and chocolate sausage are served with a fine local wine.

Osteria molto accogliente con ottime specialità da gustare. Buonissimo tutto in particolare lo stracotto di cavallo con polenta. Servizio cordiale e veloce. Visitate Mantova, città bellissima e fermatevi qui per una sosta piacevole. Ne vale la pena!

We were looking for a traditional mantuan place and this is the best place to get it. The selection of cheese from the area was good and surprising, the ravioli filled with pumpkin were really delicious and the fried frogs were crisp and tender, the sbricciola with sabayon for dessert was really tasty. All portions were abundant and the price correct with a good service.

Siamo andati Ai Ranari dopo uno spettacolo al Palaunical, non essendo di Mantova ho cercato qualcosa di tradizionale per gustare piatti tipici del posto.
Siamo stati benissimo,locale molto carino e accogliente,cibo ottimo dagli antipasti al dolce ,personale gentilissimo. Torneremo sicuramente!!!
