PIAZZA DELLA LOGGIA
Square housing the current city hall with a strong Palladian influence in Brescia.
Built between 1492 and 1574 with a strong Palladian influence, the square houses the present town hall. Facing the Loggia, the Clock Tower is decorated with the signs of the zodiac. To the north of the square, a picturesque medieval quarter with ancient houses stretches out, while the south side is enclosed by the palaces of Monte di Pietà Vecchio (1484) and Monte del Pietà Nuovo (1497). Linked together by arcades, the façades of the two pawnshops are covered with Roman inscriptions found on site and inserted into the architecture to be preserved.
