Ce lavoir fut construit en 1891, alors que Bergame était envahie par choléra et typhus, ce afin d'y remédier. Il fut utilisé jusque dans les années 1950. Ne pas hésiter à s'aventurer sur la Piazzetta Luigi Angelini située derrière lui, elle est superbe.
