In Naples, the passage to the New Year is accompanied by fireworks that set the city's sky ablaze, and firecrackers ring out.
On New Year's Eve, Naples is on fire. The volcanic nature of the city's inhabitants is best appreciated at the start of the New Year. A big concert is organised in the Piazza del Plebiscito, the epicentre of the festivities. At midnight, thousands of fireworks and firecrackers go off for at least an hour (be careful, it can be dangerous). People are all out in the streets and along the waterfront, on their terraces and balconies. An unforgettable evening.
