It is easy to stretch your legs without having to open your wallet. Indeed, walking is the best way to discover Naples and its region. The historic city centres are only accessible to local vehicles. Naples has many green spaces to do your daily jogging. The park of Capodimonte, the park of Villa Floridiani, the park Virgiliano, the park del Poggio are all playgrounds for running lovers. The waterfront, which is very well laid out from Piazza del Plebiscito to the Mergellina district, is also very suitable for practising your favourite sport.

What's very local

Along the Campania coast, the attachment to the sea is almost visceral. Children are taught to swim in the sea from an early age and, as soon as the weather permits, families do not miss an opportunity to go to the water's edge. Only in August do the locals desert the beach... to make way for the tourists!

You'll be thrilled by the 60,000 people who come to support their team. In February, the Naples International Marathon takes place. The route passes through the historic centre and along the seafront: a great opportunity to combine sport with the discovery of the city.
