Church with marble altar by Gennaro Ragozzino exhibiting paintings by Luca Giordano
Inaugurated in 1342 by Archbishop Gaspard Diano, who also has the convent, this church was considerably renovated in the th century. Interesting for the side walls of the presbytery, the marble altar of Gennaro Ragozzino of 1713 and the two great paintings painted by Luca Giordano in 1702: The Vision of Santa Maria Egiziaca and La Fuite de la Holy in the Desert. The dark tones of the paintings highlight the dramatic aspect of the scenes.
