CHIESA DI SAN SEVERO AL PENDINO
Church with a neo-Renaissance façade housing the tomb of Giovanni Alfonso Bisvallo
Founded in 1448, the church has been refurbished several times and, damaged by the 1980 earthquake, has been extensively restored. Now desacralized, it sometimes houses temporary exhibitions. Behind its neo-Renaissance facade from the 19th century, it has an elegantly sober interior: white walls and structural elements highlighted by the use of grey stone. Note, on the right, the tomb of Giovanni Alfonso Bisvallo, sculpted by Girolamo d'Auria in 1617.
