ORTO BOTANICO
Inaugurated under Joachim Murat, the Botanical Garden of Naples is one of the most beautiful in Italy. It forms 12 hectares (including 4 greenhouses) planted with citrus fruits, tree ferns, mangroves and tropical flowers of all kinds, as well as a botanical museum. A haven of peace in the heart of the bustling Naples! Apart from the schoolchildren, there is strangely enough no crowd despite the fact that this superb garden, impeccably maintained, which hosts more than 10,000 species, and which is placed under the supervision of the Frederick II University, is free of charge. A festival of perfumes and colours to discover, especially in spring.
