Archaeological park including the cave of Seiano, the remains of the theater, the odeon and the villa
Pausilypon (Pausilippe) in Greek means "place where sorrows end". It was the name given to the sumptuous villa built by Publio Vedio Pollione in the 1st century BC. The visit begins with a visit to the Seiano Cave, a tunnel dug into the tufa rock in the time of the Emperor Tiberius that allowed easy access to the Bay of Pozzuoli. Then we discover the remains of the theatre, the odeon and the villa in an idyllic maritime setting.
