MUSEO DEL '900
Museum exhibiting works of Neapolitan artists relating the history of art during the twentieth century
Created in 2010, this museum occupies several rooms of the Castel Sant'Elmo. It features a selection of around 170 works by Neapolitan artists, or at least artists active in Naples, summarizing the region's 20th-century art history. The museum's permanent collection focuses on painting and sculpture, and offers an interesting chronological tour that takes visitors up to the 1970s and 1980s. It is also regularly enriched by works by contemporary artists, in order to enhance and promote contemporary creation.
