MERCATO DI PORTA NOLANA
This is one of the oldest markets in Naples, and one of the most popular, along with the Pignasecca market in the historic center. It takes its name from the nearby Porta Nolana, a city gate flanked by two sturdy circular towers, built in the 15th century by the Aragonese rulers. Originally a food market, it was renowned in the city for its fresh fish; today, you'll find a little bit of everything.
