When to go Naples ?
High sunshine, low rainfall, mild winters along the coast and on the islands: Naples and its region offer optimal conditions at any time of the year. The high tourist season is naturally the summer: the beaches and roads are crowded, especially in August. If possible, it is better to choose spring and autumn: this way you can avoid the crowds and the summer heat and explore the cities and archaeological sites.
Just like the Italian capital, Naples has a very mild climate. Much milder than that of France. All year round, the weather is pleasant. Summer is extremely hot and dry, although the sea air cools the atmosphere a little. In winter, the mercury rarely drops below 10° C in January. The most pleasant seasons are spring and autumn, ideal for strolling around Piazza del Gesù Nuovo. Even if, occasionally, the area can be subject to heavy rain, but of short duration.
