MUSEO CAMPANO

The Museum of Capua houses a rich catalogue of artistic and archaeological finds from the territory of the province. It contains the most important collection in the world of Matutae Matutae (Roman goddess of the dawn and protector of births). Superb vases and ex-votofrom the^5th to the 1st century BC. Pinacoteca with works from the 13th to the 18th century and a library with more than 50,000 works. The museum is housed in a 15th-century palace whose porch, square courtyard and open staircase illustrate the influence of the Catalan style.
