Surface area: 8,482 ha. Vesuvius National Park was created to defend and enhance the volcano's biotope, whose nearby area is arid and sunny, with rare Mediterranean-type vegetation, enriched by reforestation pine forests and holm oaks. For the rest, the territory concerned is more humid, composed of Apennine-type vegetation, woods mixed with chestnut trees, oaks, maples and holm oaks. Le Vesuve est un lieu naturel qui a un charme particulier, lors de l'ascension de la montée. Nous avons pu voir sur la droite la mer qui est juste magnifique, un jour de soleil, mais malheureusement je trouve que les boutiques du Vesuve sont extrêmement cher ...

Pour mieux apprécier le lieu, il est souhaitable de loger au moins une nuit au pied du Vésuve et pour l'ascension, il vaut mieux prévoir tôt le matin ... beaucoup de monde, même hors saison.
