Descend the stairs from Piazza Tasso to reach one of the ancient gates of the city. A beautiful hall in a vaulted cellar belonging once to the monks who preserved their precious elixir: wine. The card is always very rich.

Me and my partner had the 10 course tasting menu. As someone who has previously eaten at the Eiffel tower and the Shard, I genuinely cannot describe how absolutely amazing the food was in comparison. The staff was brilliant too, as they were very attentive and we didn't feel pressured at all into leaving quickly, even though our long menu did make us leave after the opening hours. They even helped us to get a taxi and we got to try the chef's own limoncello, which was absolutely brilliant. This is definitely a place I would come back to. It was the best meal and experience I've ever had.

Just experienced the gran tasting menu of Il Buco with the wine pairing.

Can easily say it is the best meal either of us have ever had, and the staff were exemplary. At regular points not only did the waiters, but the head chef himself came to check on us.

The food itself was to the highest standard. With the wine it carried us through a journey all over Italy - particular highlights were the gnocchi, fish tartar and the deserts.

Dined at Il Buco recently, the night started quite well, being seated in the newly renovated dining area. We were the second table in for the evening. Customer service in the beginning was to a high quality but as more guests were seated the customer service died down. For long time whilst eating our meals we went without any water on our table, this I have never seen before in a Michelin Star restaurant. The food we found to be quite plain too and we overheard another time saying the food needed salt, which we completely agreed with. There were also no non alcoholic drinks on the menu, which was a shame as both my partner and I don’t drink.

The tasting menu was incredible! We loved the flavor profile, and the risks taken by Chef Aversa were bold, adventurous, and absolutely hit the mark. The staff was kind and informative without being overbearing. We loved the energy of the restaurant and the atmosphere added to what was already a wonderful evening. Thank you, Chef, for a fantastic experience. It was a wonderful ending to our trip to Italy!
