Opinions VILLAGIO VERDE Sorrente - Sorrento

Booked a last minute holiday here in October, wasn't sure what to expect but we were very pleasantly surprised. We stayed in one of the self catering bungalows it had everything you need we don't normally do self catering but it was very good with the shops close by with everything you could possibly want or need. All the staff were super friendly & you only had to ask if you needed anything or wanted to know anything. Our Grandson & myself loved the pool it was a bit chilly but ok once in it. We have been to Sorrento before but stayed elsewhere which was a bit further out this was a shortish walk down the hill to the town centre & the train station. It has changed a bit since the last time we were in Sorrento as it's not as easy to get to Vesuvius & Herculaneum now. We would definitely stay here again though as it's in a lovely location and is very peaceful. The one negative is getting back up that hill lol

This is the third hotel we have stayed in in Sorrento and defo the best. The accommodation is mostly set in a a leafy environment which belies it's central location.
The staff are lovely and couldn't be more welcoming.
Although just bed and breakfast, there are many places to eat locally.
The breakfast is good and substantial and of the continental variety.
The bar area is great and serves substantial lunches.
All in all Bravo! Villaggio Verde

Abbiamo prenotato al Villaggio Verde il week end di fine settembre, grazie all'esperienza di una nostra amica che ci aveva decantato la meraviglia di questo luogo.
Possiamo solo confermare il tutto. Antonietta, Rosaria, Daniela e mamma sono state delle persone meravigliose.
Ci hanno dato degli ottimi consigli su cosa vedere e dove andare a mangiare.
La ciliegina sulla torta, parlando di dolci, è la prima colazione. I dolci fatti in casa da Rosaria sono semplicemente spettacolari.
Ingredienti di prima qualità, questo è il loro motto.
Per non parlare della piscina e della pace che si respira in questo luogo.
Super consigliato e ovviamente ritorneremo.

I wish we could give this place 1,000 stars!! It was by far our favorite accommodation of our entire trip. We arrived before check-in time and received a gracious and friendly welcome by the woman working behind the desk and were offered to leave our luggage at reception so we could explore the city (I wish we had asked her name as she was very kind and helped us throughout our stay, and even assisted us in booking a boat tour that ended up being a highlight of our trip!) the grounds are beautiful and covered in lush greenery and fruit trees. The pool was very clean and had a breathtaking view of the mountainside! The pool and bar/restaurant was beautiful, and Pilar working there was extremely friendly and suggested & booked a dinner reservation for us at a gorgeous and romantic seaside restaurant that was our favorite meal! She even sent us two glasses of champagne to the table when we arrived which was so touching. When we mentioned it was our honeymoon everyone at Villagio Verde seemed genuinely so excited for us and even sent champagne to our room. We were beyond touched by our interactions with all and were so impressed and grateful for the level of hospitality. It was a short and scenic walk from the grounds to the downtown, the marinas, and train station. If you are considering staying here, you absolutely must! Grazie!

I didn't actually stay here, but when my son and I turned up on their doorstep, lost and desperate, they were exceedingly kind and helpful.

After a rubbish time getting here (due to delays) we finally got here. Exhausted and running on a short fuse we were greated by the owner. She was warm and welcoming gave us a map of the area and even took are bags to are bungalow!

On the first day we decided on a lazy pool day the pool was lovely and let are son splash around and have some great fun while we sat in the sun. After that we decided to go for a shower have some food and then go back to the bar for some drinks from there we meet are Italian mom pila! She is so warm and kind talked to us about some places to get food and areas to go visit.

With us all tooled up we decided to give pila knowledge a try and tried one of the food choices given to us.... Amazing food and atmosphere!

Though out the stay pila has been a wonderful host, she has looked after us, reserved food for when we came back, always made us welcome sorted us with tables and looked after are son as if he was her own I cannot express how greatful we are to her as are holiday has been a nightmare overall (travel) she has been a light in a dark throughout

The only down side to this place is insect bite (which we said at reception and got sorted while we went out) and the walk up the hill. The owner of the resort has been amazing throughout as well helping with booking the sun beds to giving my son free sweets and pool toys to make his stay magical

We have stayed here for 8 nights and can honestly say we have loved our time here.
The cabins are equipped with everything you need for a self catering stay and are serviced daily.
The bedrooms each have Aircon and have bug nets on the windows, (not to say you won't get bit, as it is situated in a beautiful Sorrentine garden surrounded by citrus trees.)
The pool/bar area is the crowning jewel however and the staff there prepared us some lovely meals.
The staff are all wonderful. All helpful and dedicated as well as friendly. Especially Pilar, who gave us a number of restaurant recommendations, which were all amazing!! She honestly was a highlight of our trip and we felt she went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful time while here, as well as making sure I had plenty of Malibu to drink!

10min walk from the city center, amazing pool and so quiet and relax at night.

We had such a lovely stay at Villaggio verde. We were in a good location, just a 7 minute walk down to the centre and about 10 on the way back as it's uphill. The rooms could do with upgrading and definitely take mosquito repellent. The pool area is so beautiful, surrounded by lemon and orange trees! The staff were also amazing, such lovely, kind people! They were really helpful, booking our trip to capri and helping us find ferry times for visiting amalfi and positano. Would 100% stay again!
