Right next to Villa Comunale stands the baroque church San Francesco, topped by a bulb campanile. Interior of the sixteenth century, the date of construction of the sanctuary, like most of Sorrento's religious buildings. Nevertheless, the church retains previous traces like its portal of the fifteenth century. Not to miss, in the adjacent convent (thirteenth century), the beautiful cloister and its late xivcentury arches, where American couples have become accustomed to getting married.
