DUOMO DEI SANTI FILIPPO E GIACOMO
Cathedral of St. Philip and St. James in baroque style where you can admire paintings by artists of the seventeenth century.
Consecrated in 1113 and completely rebuilt after a Turkish incursion in 1558, the Cathedral of St Philip and St James of Sorrento was remodelled in the Baroque style in the 18th century. It houses paintings by 17th-century artists of the Neapolitan school (notably Nicola Malinconico and Giacomo del Po). See the baptismal font, where the poet Le Tasse (1544-1595) was baptized. Inlaid wooden choir signed by artisans of Sorrento at the beginning of the 20th century.

Un seul petit ennui: le Duomo est peu souvent accessible à la visite libre car même en décembre il est souvent occupé au cours de la journée par de nombreux offices religieux ou par les opérations de nettoyage ou d'entretien .
Ville pleine de charme.
