Guest rooms with balcony and sea view in the Liparlati area, facing the bay of Positano.

Charming address located in the Liparlati district, a group of characteristic houses on the mountainside facing the bay of Positano. The three rooms are large and bright, all with a balcony offering a panoramic view of the sea. The rooms are delicately decorated and the choice of period furniture blends perfectly with the beautiful vaults of the local architecture. Modern comfort and quality services. An excellent address to live at the pace of Positano and its inhabitants.

We stayed at Maison Lapilarti for 5 days. Had a wonderful time, spacious room with terrace overlooking hills and sea of Positano. Host Andrea was very welcoming and supplied information of where to dine and points of interest. Special thanks to Rosa who served a delicious breakfast each day on our balcony and went out of her way to make our stay very enjoyable. Hope to return one day. GIulietta and Mark

There is a local bus stop, Grara Nuova, that's only a 30 sec walk from the B&B. However, that bus stop is only served by the internal Positano bus system. Those buses run every hour or so. For someone like me who prefers to walk and not have my movement dedicated by the bus schedule, I had to walk along the busy and narrow road for about 0.25 to 1/3 of a mile to reach perimeter of the Positano center. It was rather scary to walk along the road each time as cars are driving at high speeds in both directions, but the road is only wide enough for 1 to 1.5 cars wide in certain sections. And with no sidewalks, I had to almost flatten myself along the walls or stand between parallel parked cars to let buses pass by before continuing on.

Pros:
Wonderful breakfast with hot items (warm croissant, eggs) and cold items (deli meat, cheese, fruit)
Lovely view
Large rooms
Kitchenette with fridge, microwave, sink, and cooking and eating utensils

Cons:
Located along busy and narrow "highway" street with no sidewalks
No counter space in bathroom
Small shower
Terrace is shared by 3 rooms, there are plants that serve as dividers so that each room has its "own terrace," but you can still see your neighbors if they are out on the terrace at the same time.
