VILLA YIARA
B&B, with a family atmosphere, offering spacious rooms with sea view in Positano.
This 18th-century mansion, owned by the Caldiero family for generations, was converted into a B&B in 2011. The atmosphere has remained family-friendly, thanks to the warm welcome of Imara and Silvio. Each of the eight spacious rooms has a balcony or terrace, so you can enjoy the sea view at breakfast, served in your room, or the sunset. They are decorated in white and yellow, the color of the sun and lemons, enhancing light and space. Bathrooms feature large showers or hydromassage baths.

Service was 5 stars, from the enormous amount of breakfast they deliver, to the WhatsApp chat that’s constantly being monitored. Small details really gets me, including how they organize all of our stuff when they clean our room, there’s an espresso machine in the room, wine/champagne glassware, fridge full on drinks (not complimentary though) table cloth and chair pillows for breakfast on the balcony, scentless candles in the room and on the balcony, ironing board, and the list goes on! We asked for beach towels and they provided a cute tote bag with towels in them. They also helped us book a 60min massage to be done in our room for 90 euros which was amazing, and helped us book reservations for restaurants ????
Breakfast is the same everyday unfortunately but you can request different drinks and how you want your eggs. Pro tip, we couldn’t finish the breakfast one day bc we had a large dinner the night before and made sandwiches with it to have a picnic at the beach.
The location is perfect. It’s a 10 min walk to the beach (yes still quite amount of stairs) and it’s not Le Sireneuse but you get a beautiful view for a great price. Overall I have to say how pleasantly surprised I am by this Villa.
I must still give 4 stars for location, as Positano is undoubtedly beautiful and as the rooms were being painted (they had closed without informing us to paint the rooms before tourist season), I could tell they had great views.
Note: We booked directly through their official website, so it's not like an intermediary lost the reservation. Plus, we got the reservation confirmation email and a follow-up. And this is an event indirectly caused by Villa Yiara, but we almost got robbed when trying to find a last minute place to stay. That would not have happened if they had either communicated about the cancellation or if we got to stay in the room we booked.
