CHIESA DI SAN GIOVANNI BATTISTA
Church with decorative elements reflecting the speciality of the region such as the altars covered with majolica
The parish church dedicated to St. John the Baptist is of ancient foundation but was rebuilt in the 17th century in the Neapolitan late-Renaissance style. The façade, crowned by a triangular pediment, is reminiscent of an ancient temple. The decorative elements seem to have been designed according to the speciality of the region: the cupola, the rose window of the façade and the altars are covered with majolica! Note, inside, the beautiful polyptych of the Virgin of Milk (16th century).
