Housed in a 14th century building, the establishment has always been a good address since its foundation in 1937 by Tonino Arbace. It is still run by the Arbace family, who want to honour the island's hospitality and know-how. Good local cuisine with Mediterranean and maritime flavours. Some specialities such as the home-made pasta casserole with seafood or the ravioli alla caprese. A welcoming vaulted room, whitewashed and decorated with wine flasks and family photos.

Food was great, service was really good. Atmosphere exactly what you’d expect. Prices reasonable by Capri standards. I got tomato sauce on my white shirt and bit my cheek. We saw a cat.

Sehr guter fangfrischer Fisch und Calamari’s. Gut zubereitet ohne Firelefanz! Die Vorspeise Meeresfrüchte Salat war ein Gedicht und wir haben vergessen dieses super feine Gericht zu fotografieren. Wir kommen wieder! Eine Trouvaille auf Capri. Ausgewählte große Weinkarte auch mit gutem offenen Weißwein. Danke!

Tasty food, specially de ravioli. Good wine list, nice owner.
All'accoglienza ci hanno fatto accomodare praticamente accanto alla cella frigorifera dietro un pilastro, strettissimi al punto da avere gli altri ospiti praticamente al tavolo con noi.
Abbiamo chiesto due calici di vino e ci hanno servito un vino già da tempo decantato, una Falanghina che ha perso anche la fragranza.
Abbiamo ordinato due primi, scialatielli con le vongole e spaghetti con vongole. Entrambi deludenti per 3 motivi:
1. La Pasta troppo in là nella cottura.
2. Gli spaghetti erano spaghettini, cioè la versione ancora più piccola di spaghetti che andando in lá con la cottura praticamente non si separavano.
3. Le vongole in tutto il piatto erano solo 4 o 5, il resto erano tutti lupini.
Sconsiglio, nonostante le ingannevoli foto delle celebrità esposte in vetrina che probabilmente erano solo di passaggio (ci siamo lasciati convincere anche noi).
Peccato, perché l'isola è molto bella e confidavamo di tornare a casa anche con il ricordo di una bella cena.
