Park with a rich flora dedicated to the Roman emperor who exchanged Ischia for Capri.

This beautiful park is dedicated to the memory of the famous Roman emperor who exchanged the much larger island of Ischia for Capri. The Augustus Gardens were created by Friedrich Alfred Krupp, a German industrialist and politician who loved Capri, in the early 20th century. Structured in a series of flowered terraces, they illustrate the rich flora of the island. The view of the sea, the point of Tragara, the Faraglioni (rocky formations detached from the coast) and the Marina Piccola, which can be reached via the extremely winding Via Krupp, is grandiose.

jardin uniquement intéressant grâce à la vue qu'il permet !
Ce jardin n'a rien d'exceptionnel, à part de permettre une vue magnifique sur les faraglioni. Mais ça vaut bien les 1€ demandés ! dommage que le petit chemin qui descend à la mer soit fermé pour le moment.

Grosse déception! J'avais lu dans un guide qu'il s'agissait d'un beau parc, une oasis de verdure...et je m'attendais à un grand jardin. Mais il ne s'agit que d'un square qui n'a rien de particulier en lui même. Les vues, par contre, sont à couper le souffle.
