FARAGLIONI
Among the symbols and tourist attractions of Capri, the famous Faraglioni are three huge sharp reefs that rise from the sea. These enigmatic rock colossuses were created by the secular erosion of the water, forming cracks, cavities and very beautiful natural arches. The first, still attached to the earth, 110 m high, is called Stella; the middle one (faraglione di Mezzo), 80 m high, has an arch at its base; and the third one (faraglione di Fuori or Scopolo) stands at 102 m. These mythical stone needles emerge in majesty and have given rise to many legends related to sirens.
To admire the Faraglioni, there are several solutions: from lookouts such as the gardens of Augustus, the coastal path of Pizzolungo, or Punta Cannone. The best way is from the sea, aboard a boat that will allow you to pass in their immediate vicinity, or even to cross the 60-metre-long Stella natural arch. Not to mention making a wish!
