Mount being the highest point of the island accessible by a chairlift, on foot for the courageous
From Anacapri's Piazza della Vittoria, it's possible to reach the island's highest point, Mount Solaro (589 m), via a single-seater chairlift (the more courageous, or those afraid of heights, will prefer to make the ascent on foot!). The journey takes 12 minutes and there's a bar-restaurant at the summit. From up there, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of Capri, the Bay of Naples, Vesuvius and the Amalfi Coast. You can then walk back down to Anacapri via Monte Solaro (less than an hour).
