ALBERGO IL MONASTERO
Hotel housed in the Aragonese castle with a panoramic view of the town of Ischia and the sea below
A unique address housed within the Aragonese castle, in the old 16th century convent perched on the top. The terrace, where breakfast is served, offers a panoramic view of the town of Ischia and the sea below. The castle belonged to the native painter Gabriele Mattera; his paintings and sketches are now used as a background. The hotel is tastefully and soberly furnished, quiet and restful, and has an excellent small traditional restaurant which obtains its food from the fishermen of Ischia Ponte and from the castle's vegetable garden.
