This theatre was founded in by the director, Štefan Korenči. For those who speak Slovak, this theatre is the most renowned for contemporary plays. A residency of Slovak authors is associated with it. This theatre was established in 1991 and complements the Slovak National Theatre and the Academy of Performing Arts, its repertoire geared towards staging contemporary texts. The small size of the theatre allows for an intimate experience.
