The first ice rink in Bratislava was opened in 1871 and last renovated for the World Ice Hockey Championship in Bratislava in 2011 and 2019. The stadium is named after Ondrej Nepela, a Slovak figure skater who represented Czechoslovakia and won the gold medal at the 1972 Olympic Winter Games. It's the Slovan Bratislava Club rink, go see a hockey game, it's really worth it.
