Four themed tours of the city are on offer, lasting between 1 and 3 hours: the Old Town and its castle, the sad stories of the Slovak people during the fascist Slovak state of World War II (1939-1945) and the communist era (1948-1989), Bratislava's neighborhoods where the old meets the new, and finally a night tour focusing on the stories of Bratislava's medieval inhabitants. The young guides can be identified by their T-shirts or signs. The tours are free and operate on a tipping basis.
