This pretty palace now houses the seat of the current government. It was built in the 17th century in the middle of vineyards by Archbishop Forgách who made it his summer residence. In 1761-1765, the palace was rebuilt in a Baroque style and the garden converted into a French garden, which later became a pretty English park. In 1866, it was transformed into a military hospital before finally becoming the seat of the government of the Slovak Republic.
