The Germans are fully part of the history of Bratislava and Slovakia for having been, for centuries, one of its most important ethnic minorities. They were invited to repopulate and redevelop the part of the Kingdom of Hungary that is now Slovak after the Tatar invasions in the 13th century until the population was transferred after the Second World War. This museum commemorates this coexistence, which is now almost over.
