PETRŽALKA
This small village south of the Danube, originally populated by Germans and Hungarians, was literally transformed in the 1960s into the largest urban complex in Europe. Today it is a huge district with a series of uniform buildings. For the adventurous on two wheels, there is a "korso" bike path that runs through the neighborhood, and for pedestrians, the 93 bus line runs through Petržalka. At the Dvory stop, the Nobelovo nàm square is considered the center of the neighborhood. Petržalka is an example of communist functionalist architecture.
