Witness of a strong Jewish presence in the city until the Shoah, this synagogue dates back to the 19th century. It is called the status quo ante, as opposed to the reformist Jewish movement of the 19th century. This synagogue, built in brick and with a facade dominated by 2 towers, has been the headquarters of the Trnava Contemporary Art Gallery since 1994. In the women's gallery, supported by beautiful cast iron columns, there is an exhibition depicting the life of the Jewish community in Trnava.
