This gallery was founded in Trnava in 1976. Two permanent exhibitions are on the programme of this gallery: the first presents the works of the great Slovak sculptor Ján Koniarek, an emblematic figure of Slovak sculpture who lived and worked in Trnava from 1924 to 1952. The second is devoted to Slovak classical art of the 20th century. It also hosts temporary exhibitions and has another exhibition space in the former synagogue.
