This beautiful museum presents an exhibition of photographs and engravings that retrace the history of Komárno from 1849 to 1945. The exhibitions in the first two rooms document the period from 1849 to 1918, the next two cover the Czechoslovak period (1919-1938) and the fifth the Second World War (November 1938-1945). Another permanent exhibition recounts the lives of the country's two most famous children: composer Ferenc Lehár and writer Mór Jókai, both born in Komárno.
